Intern: Parts Order Desk (Summer 2020)

Position Description:
Document processes as they relate to Logistic flows, and support team activities related to backorder recovery processes. This may involve interaction with Volvo dealers (our customers), internal personnel, and Volvo warehouses regarding quoting of parts availability, order flow and communication of order status, reverse logistics flow (discrepancies, debits and credits, master data, core returns, miscellaneous freight issues, buybacks).
Position Requirements:
  • Proficient skills required in the following areas: problem solving and analysis, interpersonal, verbal and written communication, organization and leadership
  • Must be proficient in the use of personal computer, including skills in the following software programs: Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook and the Internet. Knowledge of SAP beneficial
Educational Requirements:
• Applicant must be currently enrolled and pursuing a bachelor degree in supply chain management (or relevant) at an accredited school and have completed 30 semester hours of undergraduate studies prior to the start of the internship.
• Summer Interns are required to work 40 hours or less per week.
• Applicants must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0.
